The reason why they failed was because they did not perform effectively in the discharge of their duties as criminal justice system to combat crimes .For example ,the police untimely manner in arresting criminals made it difficult for them to arrest criminals at the crime scene .Also ,there is overcrowding in our prison and the obvious reason for that is because most times people with lesser crimes that are not suppose to be in prison are locked up in there due to police arresting innocent citizens while the real culprits are out there commiting crimes …show more content…
Whenever someone was jailed and released in U.S.A. people still see him/her as a criminal even if he/she was innocent of the offence that took him to prison .If he was a black man in a white community he would be prejudiced and stereotyped by others hence racial discrimination sets in.
My personal biases on crime I could reflect on happened few years back when my friends and I were driving towards Chicago and some police officers stopped us .They did not ask my other two white girl friends for ID but they did ask me and when I could not provide them, they let my friends go while I was delayed for no reasons .I felt a biased crime was committed based on my skin color .I am bias when black skin people are treated unfairly .I am also bias when people say ' ' African Americans commit more crime than white people '
