Maintaining a stable income is the only way to survive in a capitalist society. In order for the capitalist society to thrive there must be a distinct distribution of the country’s wealth. This division of wealth is known as the class system. A system that provides nearly no means of advancement. With most of the country’s wealth concentrated within only one percent of the population, resources become scarce for people born at the underbelly of the socioeconomic pyramid. The earth has more than enough resources to sustain its human inhabitants. There is no reason for any person to go hungry or have to commit crimes to get the items they need. Her heels were higher than the Eiffel Tower and skirt shorter than a sentence fragment. School was never her thing. She had nowhere to go once she reached the legal age for the orphanage she called home. Her was mother a drug addict and her father an alcoholic, with no other family in the world she turned to the streets for love. Option-less, she met a flashy man that was smoother than cream cheese on a bagel flashy in the train station she relocated to after being kicked out of her foster home. With the help of her new man she began using her body as a means of income. She becomes addicted to the lifestyle of money, cars, and clothes. Never once did she think that she would get pregnant. Never once did she think that her flashy man would disappear when she got out of the hospital. Body battered from the C-section so she was unable to produce the income or provide the lifestyle she was accustomed to. Now she is stuck in destitution raising a child without a high school diploma.
Destitution is a developing issue all through the world. A serious circumstance in which individuals lack the fundamental necessities to survive. We are challenged people; we fear everything; we rely on upon everyone. No one is born into this world self-sufficient. The quest to conquer the hunger of poverty and achieve financial security has led many to adverse situations. What people are willing to do to escape destitution is somewhat scary to imagine that is why addressing poverty is inarguable the most pivotal issue plaguing the world
