Cricket Monologue Essay

I reach into the daunting bag of doom. I pull out the smallest little cricket and lay it in my hands. I glare for a second. Eye to eye, one weird dead little cricket is lookin at me as I hold it in my hands. As I look at it , It gives me the shivers. It’s microscopics short legs curled up with it’s black huge eye’s, It’s wing is dried like a leaf, thin as a wet newspaper.

I look away from the cricket I see everyone around me all I hear is yuk, ewwww, gross. Some people seem to like eating cricket and just want more. I guess cricket is just a I hate it or I love it. I look back at the cricket in my hand that lays before myself all think is ewwww what am I thinking I can eat a cricket. As my friends encourage me to eat it.

Baseball: the sport where you stand around for 20 minutes and move 3 feet to the left and move 3 feet to the right. It’s so intense. It’s so intense that you could take a nap on the field with everything out there. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. The only time it’s actually fun is when you’re annihilating the other team while they’re asleep on the field.…

Before I went to the World Series, I thought it was a joke, but I guess not because on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH was where the World Series was. I was more ecstatic than ever going to the World Series. When we got there, we had to choose our seats because it was standing room only(SRO). We chose our seats in foul ball territory, just about 15 feet away from the foul pole in left field. The game started and a country band named “Locash” sang the “Star Spangled Banner”, even fireworks shot up into the air making a crackling sound.…

Sixty miles per hour is the speed at which the average softball player throws the ball; so I guess you could say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I believe I was exactly where I was supposed to be. You know how some people say there was a certain moment that changed their life completely? Well, this was that moment for me, and it all was caused by a miscommunication.
