Crestwood Terrace Budgeting Case Study

Did you get your Proposed 2016 Crestwood Terrace Budget and Proxy information? Interesting that the Board Meeting was Thursday to discuss the budget, dues increase, and assessment; and we got the information in Friday's mail! As far as I could see, only four homeowners (all women except for Daryl) and three Board Members (Ed, June, and Karen) attended. But, if RPM already had the information to send out, what good would it have done for anyone to attend and comment, anyway? The proposed Budget shows a $25 dues increase and a $600 assessment for 2016. I think Ed must have decided that he'd split the difference of the $75 monthly increase you said June suggested and the $1000 assessment. With the amount of money this will cost us if it passes, the future doesn't look very bright for those of us on a strict budget. By-the-way, Patty has been in contact with me, too. She's very concerned about any increases; and when I told her Ed has been using his credit card to purchase stuff for the Association, she came up with a concern that's valid: What if Ed is taking back any or some of those items he's purchased, but doesn't reimburse the Association for refunds?
