Crestview Hospital 's billboard will have a negative impact on Briarwood Medical Center. The most important issue here is that the billboard is directly across from Briarwood Medical Center. Having a huge sign posted so close to their competitor, Briarwood Medical Center, will have patients wondering if they should, perhaps give Crestview Hospital services a try, especially when it provides basically the same types of services and it is has a billboard that is appealing to the community. It would be hard for the community stakeholders not give some thought to Crestview Hospital with the billboard being posted in the neighborhood right next to their competitor. Michael should be prepared to show adequate and satisfactory reasons for his decision. Michael should state his belief in physician referrals and insurance coverage influence patient traffic and the financial concern (Fortenberry, p 43). Health care facilities can 't go wrong when they configure their organization to improve the quality of patient-provider relationships (Clark, p 1). I see the governing board keeping Michael on board. Michael tenure may be threatened a bit due to the bill board mishap but not enough to terminate him. Michael stated that too much money was already being spent on advertising. Michael has valid reasons for not dispersing the money. Michael is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and it is his responsibility to know the finances of the company. Perhaps the two of them, Susan and Michael, could have taken it further and explored other means of securing money for the …show more content…
Although Susan has now been given additional funding for marketing, her focus should be on promoting patients experiences rather than constructing patients ' experiences (Clark, p 6). Funds should be spent on strategies that emphasize their brand and reputation. According to Clark (2006) real experiences and retelling those experiences with friends and family members have more impact than advertising. Marketing leadership strategies that are centered on quality care and improving patient-physician relationships is useful in researching the health service experience in order to make changes, redesign to get a better understanding needed to implement health care
