Crested penguins are amazing creatures and there is so much we can learn about them, but the bad part is, they are endangered because their population has gone down so much because of their range of breeding. Crested penguins are usually found in coasts of australia, New Zealand and on the Antipodes and bounty islands, however, they can only breed on the Antipodes and on the bounty islands of New Zealand. Crested penguins are named for their stiff hairs above both of their eye. There are approximately 130,000 to 140,000 crested penguins in the world. They normally weigh up to 6 to 8 pounds and 25 inches long. They usually live for 15 to 20 years. The crested penguins diet is krill, squids, and small fish. It takes approximately 1 month for
