For many years, candy has been incorporated into everyday life. From a young age, candy has played a huge role in the lives of people in every culture. Throughout history, various candies were being made for the distribution to countries all over the world. Today, people rarely stop and think about the meticulous process confectionists must go through to make the sweetest thing in the world. The making of candy dates back to ancient Aztec and Mayan times as well as Medieval and Renaissance times. Whether it is sour and bitter, chewy and fruity, or chocolatey and sweet, some form of candy appeals to almost everyone.
