Introduction:
This article review will define the important relationship between intelligence and creativity, which are often affected by the levels of socio-cultural conditions in various environmental settings. Certainly, the overarching theme of creativity and intelligence being “independent” cognitive functions is found in all of the literature examined in this review, yet Simonton’s (2000) and Zhang (2001) tend to focus on the sociological aspects of these behaviors that show the subjectivity of these divisions. More so, it is the inherent value of “ vocational success” that can be subjectively selective in the separation of intelligence and creative/emotional process. Finally, Ivcevic et al (2007) describes the important relationship between creativity and intelligence, which can be merged to improve educational performance in the right social/environmental classroom setting. However, the students experienced moments of creative adaptability as a measure of vocational success in the intelligence measurements for practical knowledge. Simonton (2000) also shows limitations to the subjective nature of "socio-cultural environments” as part of the link between intelligence and creativity. However, Simonton (2000) defines the relativistic nature of “creativeness” that shows deviations from historically learned behaviors through traditional definitions of intelligence. This type of social/environmental point of view shows the necessity of intelligence and creativity as important interrelationships that are linked through social
