These mutants eventually turned into darkened souls who were controlled by a person who simply went by the ‘Dark Lord.’ Now before you say or think anything, this character was not based off of Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter series. It was just the most basic and understanding name I could come up with, I later expanding on this little adventure by creating a plot twist (at age seven I should mention) and made The Dark Lord, Jake’s brother. Around this time I was in second grade and my imagination was starting to get too much into my head. I had too much information from my stories in my head, and I am fairly sure that this had an effect on my school work because I was so entranced by the stories I was creating involving The Dark Lord and my new character who went by the name of Jake. So what I did to combat that issue was by making friends who would go along with this story I created. I met Gabriel, who took himself as on being a ‘Dragon Rider’ and Shane, who claimed himself to be a ‘werewolf’. Sure it was silly, but I was seven or eight at the time, this was wonderful to have people coming into this story, and with that I created what was called ‘Gates of Imag” Which was a play on ‘The Gates of Imagination’. I at least knew that it was imagination, but sometimes I would get stuck on this and think for some reason it was real life, I was bordering on insanity. Did I care? Nah, not a single bit at all. I was having fun. So I continued. As I grew older my stories became more complex and darker, more characters were introduced, some of them stolen from games and TV shows and whatnot. But I continued, eventually making those characters more original as I went on. Then I hit a point where my grades were at a low, and I would need to put all of the imagination stuff away. I was getting
