Wild in The West

The sound of the wind blowing through the car window was a calming white sound that put me fast to sleep. I awoke faster than I could open my eyes, to a scream, a crash, and a feeling of falling through the air. As my eyes opened I saw only white then an ever approaching darkness it's as if someone had taken a slo-mo video and was projecting it into my eyes.

I could only watch as the earth was approaching closer and closer to me. Knowing what came next I flexed every muscle in my body. The thrashing and unbounded G forces. My neck felt as if it was being pulled right out of my spine; I felt my arm crack and shatter under the seat of the car.

The trees were like ever growing pillars reaching to the clouds and dancing before my eyes. My eyes were glazed by my ever growing wave of tears from pain, and the unknowing of what had just happened just moments ago.

As I re-attained myself to my body, the ever germinating pain in my body I analyzed my surrounding and recalled where and how I got here. The first thing I looked for was a running stream to wash the blood from my eyes and body. I heard the ever familiar sound of dynamic water.

As I stammered up and over to search for the only comforting thing at the moment, I heard something rifling in the bushes. As I got closer I started to make out a figure that looked like a reindeer on steroids. I immediately realized what it was, my heart sank like the titanic… All I could do was stay still and keep calm. As the moose looked up from the edge of the creek my body stopped like a bullet running into concrete. The gentle giant looked up from eating and calmly walked away back to its forest dwellings. After I could no longer hear the crunching of leaves I ran to the water and and dunked my 90 degree right arm which was feeling like a red hot rod of
