Creative Writing: Vivana's Murder

A blushing pink dawn rose, promising another beautiful, clear day for most-but its revelation of murder that night left an ugly, dark bruise on hers. She was sick and tired of seeing Vivana’s smiling face, day in and day out. It had been thirty years to the day that Vivana committed the murder. Vivana had been alive and well too long. Daniele had plans to change that. Thirty years prior, Dani’s partner was being prosecuted for a factor out of her control. Vivana lead the attack to take Dae in. Dae was sitting on a log in a quiet meadow with her best friend, Tess, talking quietly and giggling. Vivana surrounded them with her team. They closed in, giving no chance for surrender. Swords started to fly. Blades clashed with blades and chains. The fighting seemed to drag on for ages, taking no lives. That was until Tess faced off with Vivana. They were nearly evenly matched in skill, but Vivana took a cheap shot, stabbing Tess though the abdomen. Her cry broke though the sounds of clashing metal. Time seemed to stop as everyone stared. Dae ran over, her vision blurred with tears as she pulled Tess into her lap. They exchanged few words before the girls life slipped away. They dragged a broken down Dae away. Vivana was praised for bringing Dae in, but no one spoke of the single …show more content…
The terror in her eyes made it clear that she was convinced she was going to die at the hands of someone she had considered a friend from their childhood. Her thoughts raced as she tried to move, only then realizing that her wrists and ankles had been securely tied to her bed frame. She tried to speak, but the tape prevented her from forming anything that resembled actual words. Daniele smiled down at her, but it was no ordinary smile. The smile was devious and scheming, and combined with the razor sharp knife in her hand, Vivana had no doubt in her mind that she would not live to see another beautiful pink
