Creative Writing: Tom's Cabin

The moans surrounded my head and the weariness of the sounds spooked the forest. I could not concentrate on what the sound was and most importantly who were making those sounds. I had no idea what to do I was just frozen in place. Then, I remembered the poem that we found in the middle of the cabin remember what makes your friends light up, you might not have seen close up. I closed my eyes and brought the three of our heads together and remembering all of the fun times we shared. When I opened my eyes, I looked up at the big wound in the cabin to see a stunning bolt of lighting followed by a loud boom of thunder. The last bolt of lightning was so powerful it struck the top of the cabin bursting it into flames. An adrenaline rush lead me to the door leaving Carrie standing shocked and still. I carried them back to camp hoping nothing would follow us back. The light of dawn helped me make my way back to Tom's tent. He had no idea where we were and did not even know we were even gone. As we made the five-mile trek back to camp I laid Michael on the ground inside Tom's tent. Carrie had just regained consciousness and drank every last drop of Tom's ionized water. Before Tom asked us what happened he knew immediately that the story could not be told right now, we just need to help Michael. Tom called the paramedics and they flew a helicopter near our campsite. In the meantime we continually tried to get Michael's attention but remained unconscious. The paramedics arrived and placed Michael on a stretcher and airlifted the three of us to the nearest hospital. The aroma of uncertainty surrounded the paramedics in the helicopter wondering if he was going to survive this tragedy. The ride felt like a lifetime as we watched the paramedics tried to seal all the wounds and burns. I felt completely
