There's no use wasting time and panicking, instead, I think I'm going to find out what this FAYZ is caused by, Athena Smiths thought, and stepped outside. She could see and walk to the FAYZ boundary from her porch, and with her high intelligence, calculated the FAYZ to be 20 miles in diameter, same as last FAYZ.

Then the center and cause of the FAYZ would be Theraman Lake? Theraman Lake must have toxic waste or some other form of nuclear waste. But Theraman Lake has just been assessed by the EPA, and they say it's a perfectly clean reservoir, safe for humans to drink from. Then did the EPA make a mistake, or was it a cover up?

In short, she was scared to death of public speaking. Her fear was made even stronger when she deduced that the kids would attack and possibly even kill her if she said something that they didn’t like.

I wonder who’s at the town square right now? Last FAYZ, every kid went to the town square at first, but this isn’t the same FAYZ. What could determine if this FAYZ is caused by the same mysterious “Gaiaphage?” Athena gasped. How could I have forgotten, I have a perfect memory! One of the only ways to see if this FAYZ is the same is to check the phone service!

She ran to her room to retrieve her phone, and turned it on. She rarely used it, because she had no friends that could keep up with her extensive thinking, and didn’t use it for reminders; she had a photographic memory, so her phone took a long time to load. Athena tried calling her home phone, 999-999-9999, and sure enough, it started ringing, but after 2 rings, it stopped, and static came on. What is the reason for this? My call went through, and then someone or thing interfered! I’m going to have to do some research and I almost never have to do that, Athena thought, but she was grateful for the distraction from public speaking that she knew she had to do

Prior to the 1980’s and environmental laws and concerns, it was a standard unwritten procedure to dump waste on the ground, rivers, streams and oceans. Unsuitable boxes, containers and storage units for keeping waste were inadequate and often toxic substances were left out unsecured. These practices were happening destructively everywhere in the environment and thousands of contaminated sites were created. Contaminated sites often included warehouses, landfills, processing plants and manufacturing sites. The superfund program in 1980 was imposed by congress to clean up these contaminated sites based upon health concerns of the people, environmental risks and possible ecosystem destruction.…

Due to the hundreds of articles available on the Flint Water Crisis, I chose this one article because it broke down the timeline of events and included links to various documentation and articles. I believe that this author is credible because they used official documents to provide the timeline. To summarize the article or situation; to save money, the state switched Flints water supply from Lake Huron to the Flint River. The Flint River is polluted due to the industrial complexes, landfills, and farms loaded with pesticides and fertilizer that sit along the rivers watershed. When the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality failed to treat the water, it destroyed the city’s iron and lead pipes and leaked into the water supply.…
