Creative Writing: The Worn Pathway

The fall moonlight shines upon the crematorium. Gazing at the cemetery gates, she took a hit of her last cigarette. She stood like this for a few moments before checking the time on her phone; placing it in her pocket before looking up at the gate.

Suddenly, a shadow of a tall man appeared, walking down the unkempt path. Her heartbeat picked up speed; it was love at first sight.

Mandy was shy and yet so hesitant; she paced back and forth. A shiver runs up her tall spine while butterflies flutter in her curvy stomach.

She gathers her courage, and starts to make her way up to the path of the cemetery gate. Closing in on the gates, she took a deep breath, and let out a high-pitched "Hii." She gripps the gate pole and swung herself right
