My heart was pounding as I raced down the snake-like waterslide. I plunged into the icy water. The line was getting shorter. If I hurried, I could go again and not have to wait very long! A little boy wildly shot out of the slide. He surfaced, gasping for breath. Wow, I didn't know that supposedly innocent waterslide could be so intense for young children! I looked up at the Florida sun. I felt like I was trapped inside an oven whenever I was out of the water. A slow summer breeze made the palm trees softly sway back and forth. I could barely stand. The concrete was practically burning my feet.
I glanced at the lifeguard as I was waiting in line. He was not paying attention whatsoever. Instead, he was chatting on …show more content…
My mom could tell something was wrong by the fear in my eyes. “What happened? Are you okay?” She asked in a worried tone. When I looked over, the lifeguard was still on his phone, while it was clearly obvious that something was wrong. After what seemed like forever, an ambulance came. It was about a thirty minute drive to the nearest hospital. I was in my bathing suit, and it was freezing cold inside the ambulance, but I couldn't talk. I was freaking out. But I got through it, didn’t I?” I nodded, but no words could make my worried feelings disappear. Now my tooth just had to heal. I couldn't jump, run or do anything crazy. I had to slowly walk up and down the stairs. I was really upset, because we were supposed to go to Disney with my grandparents. We still did, but I could only go on some of the really slow kid rides. Like I mentioned before, I love thrills, so the rollercoasters were always my favorite. Despite all that, I was happy that I was even able to go to Disney in the first place. I mean, I did have …show more content…
He put braces on to keep my tooth in place as it healed. I was NOT happy about this, as I had finally gotten my braces removed about a week before. More than half a year later, my tooth had finally healed. I got my braces off, and I could finally run and jump and do everything again, with a few exceptions. It wasn't until March that I could finally do everything again except for two things: ride wooden rollercoasters or jump on a trampoline. That lasts to this day. My tooth is fine now, I know it is, but I'm still cautious about some things. It will take time to slowly start doing everything again, but I'm off to a great
