The New Year went off with a bang! Two thousand and nineteen came but it was not the best time. We went to the carnival not thinking what would happen hours later. The carnival was filled with tons of people. You could hear little kids laughing along with screams from the people on rides. The smell of funnel cakes filled the air everywhere you went. As it was my turn to get on the roller coaster, there was a loud and ear rattling buzzing noise as the intercom came on. The manager’s voice filled with worry and concern announced, “Ladies and gentlemen. Please remain calm. The virus made an extremely deadly outbreak. Stay away from anyone who may have it.” Mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles grabbed their children as the annoying loud sound went …show more content…
Paige pulled me away as Harrison was being eaten alive. “He could have come, Paige.” I snapped. “He was a stranger! We need to live!” Paige yelled back. We started to become trapped by the infected. I assumed the exit fence broke and they were coming in. Tears were rolling down our faces. “Paige, I love you.” I told my older sister. Probably for the last time. She looked around as she realized our time was cut short. “You are my baby sister. I love you so I am risking my life for you. Run.” Paige told me. By now, tears were pouring down my face. “I don’t want to lose you.” I told her. She pushed me away and ran to the horde. “NO!” I screamed. I fell to my knees seeing my sister die in front of me, blood going everywhere. We locked eyes for the last time before I couldn’t see her anymore. The infected was all over her. I was about to run away when I felt teeth dig into my arm. I screamed as I knew this was it. Blood went in my face. More of them approached. I closed my eyes and waited for this to be over.
