Creative Writing: The Thronateeska

The Thronateeska was OK. The least favorable thing we did was watch a slide show about space. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the ceiling wasn’t the screen. The Planetarium is dome shaped, so we had to lean back in our seats and look up at the ceiling. It wasn’t very fun, but I did learn that Venus is the hottest planet. The scavenger hunt was alright. It wasn’t my most favorite activity, but it wasn’t my least favorite either. I learned that we live in the Cenozoic era. Overall, the Thronateeska was interesting, but it wasn’t very exciting. Aside from the Thronateeska, the Flint River Aquarium was awesome! I had so much fun! The scavenger hunt we had to do there was hard, though. My partner (my best friend) and I couldn’t find some of the

Summary of Evans Lake Day 1 On the bus ride to Evans Lake was very fun because I was sitting beside one of my best friends Casey. On the bus ride we had lots of snacks including cookies, chips and a little bit of candy, we watched the Minions movie, and we played card games. When we arrived, we played a game called knuckle ball, what was very unique about playing it at Evans Lake was they had a arena built for it, the game was very fun. After we were done with that we went rock climbing, the rock climbing was made from real rocks, that was something I had never seen before, but it was extra fun.…

On October 14th my class went to Springfield IL the capital of Illinois. We enjoyed a 3 hour bus ride to Springfield and when we arrived we saw some awesome museums and even Lincoln's house! But, the coolest thing that I believe we did was seeing Lincoln's tomb. As we rounded the bend and the anticipation was growing we finally saw the giant monument in his honor; it was magnificent.…

Lubbock One of the biggest connections I made throughout the book, The Liar's Club by Mary Karr, was through the city Lubbock, in Texas. Mary Karr's (the author's and narrator's) grandmother lived there until she died while staying at their house. I was deeply connected by this because I was born in Lubbock and lived there until I moved to California at the age of 7. Lubbock has always been my favorite place because of the traditions and memories it carries. The first tradition that comes to my mind is Mackenzie Park.…

My trip to the Flint was fun. I did lots of things and learned lots of things. I got to play different games, play with water and sand, see myself on TV, and go through a tunnel. I also got the opportunity to learn some things about astronomy and astrological signs, map skills, and some history about the Flint. For example, I saw constellations and planets, I learned how to use contour lines on a map, and I learned about trolleys.…

Senior Trip to Washington D.C. For my school, the senior class gets together and travels to Washington D.C. for three days. We left early Wednesday morning and rode in a charter bus down to D.C. and as soon as we get to there we start touring. We would tour the whole first day then go to a fancy restaurant that night. The next two days were, wake up, go to breakfast, then tour all day.…

The ride there was really long, there was many pit stops to go get gas and other things we might need like water. Everything in history was in this museum, like Roy Halladay's perfect game ball and even Hank Aaron's locker that he used when he played. And after our tour was done, I got Mike Trout's and Bryce Harper's rookie cards who are two of my favorite players. The other cool activity we did as a team was that we went paint balling as a team. Even our coaches played with us and watching them put all the gear on while getting hit by little paintballs was very funny. By the end of the week, our team had gone 1-7, but personally I had a batting average of.500 while hitting five homeruns, which was the second most by any player there.…
