Creative Writing: The Morgenstern

Angel's blood runs through my veins, but demon's blood infuses it. It has been years upon years of experimenting on myself to try and unleash the true power possessed by both demon and angel. My passion has been thought to be lost since, but I truly know I haven't changed. Those against me are merely afraid of my immense power. The Morgenstern name would be remembered for generations to come. I infused demon blood into my first son with the intent of unleashing power, giving him a dark aura that baffles even me. I saved Stephen's son from his dying mother's body and gave him angel's blood to see the true power unleashed through the light. As his mother's soul left her eyes and her body grew still, my strong boy let out his first and last cry. …show more content…
He still remained a little closed off to the world, but always opened up to his one true love, Clary. I let him go when he was ten to the Lightwoods and told him he was a Wayland. My dear child never knew who had raised and truly loved him. I knew he would make me proud, but I never anticipated his resistance in joining me. He grew up with my care even if I wasn't his real father, whereas I raised my firstborn with a harsh fist. It was an experiment to see how the Angel and Demon's blood would reach different heights of power. This world is run by those who have more …show more content…
My children, though different, are my world. Together we will bend humanity to our will. My demon will rule through terror and fear, but his brother will show kindness even with his harsh touch. Both, however, are impeccable warriors just like my daughter. Clary, was snatched by my pregnant wife when she left me. Clary has a deep hatred towards me, even though she never truly got to meet my fatherly side. It crushes my heart to see her grow up without me. Her dark side, however, is overpowered by the good in her heart. Her mother and friend's purity plagues my blood that runs through her. Clary holds power one could not even try to wrap their mind around. She creates new runes that posess power beyond imagination. These runes are symbols that can be drawn to accomplish her heart's wishes. I am glad to see her and Jace, the child I raised, happy together. The Lightwoods helped both of them become top notch Shadowhunters. My wife has given Clary an untrue illusion of who I am. She wishes to fight me, not join me. My second in command and best friend, Lucian, stole my wife, feeding her thoughts of pure evil that transferred onto my beloved

“Wait… I was under the impression that all infected areas been quarantined at this point,” Governor Lewis proclaimed. Everyone at the table kept their mouths shut, as they felt an intensity that would soon escalate into power struggle steadily increasing. “Governor!” Hanes said, sternly as he raised his voice back at Lewis while pounding his fist on the conference table. “This sickness has covered two major cities, several states, scores of counties, and a myriad of townships and municipalities throughout the northeastern corridor in less than a week.…

On Monday night about 8 o'clock, I reached the guard, about 100 people passed it and went towards the custom house where the king's money is lodged. They immediately surrounded the sentry posted there, and with clubs and other weapons threatened to execute their vengeance on him. I was soon informed by a townsman their intention was to carry off the soldier from his post and murder him. I immediately sent a non-commissioned officer and 12 men to protect both the sentry and the king's money, and very soon followed myself to prevent, if possible, all disorder. Nay, so far was I from intending the death of any person that I suffered the troops to go to the spot where the unhappy affair took place without any loading in their pieces; nor did I ever give orders for loading them.…

I only watched helplessly as the turquoise vase wobbled off of its shelf, seemingly falling in slow motion until it hit the cold stone, erupting in a firework of glass. He swiveled his head around, eyes widened, pale face, and trembling hands. My hands automatically went up to clasp my mouth, muffling a scream that never came out. He looked at me, and I looked at him. I looked at him, and he looked at me.…

Kaci Hunter 2nd hour Book Review This paper is a book review. To be more specific, this is a book review about a book called, “Beautiful Creatures”; written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I’ve read this book quite a few times, this most likely won’t be the last, and the thesis of the story was made very clear the first time: Who, or what, really controls your fate? Everything in the book revolves around that one word and statement… fate.…

It was a quiet Friday at Henry’s. There were only five customers scattered around the restaurant. There was elderly couple at one of the booths quietly eating their food, two younger men at the bar chatting about their plans for the night; and one man sitting near the window and reading the local tabloids. Both George and Lennie were, in the back of the restaurant, working. George was cleaning dishes, while Lennie was trying his best to mop.…

The red eyed prowler growled out at the wounded creature, snapping it’s injured jaw at it before grabbing the fleeing pigeon, pulling it roughly towards him and snapping his jaw down on it’s neck before anyone could move. Blood splatted against the ground and the creature’s face as he ripped the silenced bird out of his mouth, swallowing the decapitated head and throwing the limp body against the wall. The place where it’s head once was sprayed blood across the white wall paper and carpeted floor. The prowler seemed to grin at them as blood dripped down it’s fangs and off the tip of its chin. The sight was gruesome, turning the stomachs of the small animals as they watched, helplessly, as one of their friends was torn in half.…
