Matt De La Pena is an author of: Ball Don’t lie, Mexican Whiteboy, We were here, I Will Save You, The Living and The Hunted. He attended the University of the Pacific for a basketball scholarship. And went on to get a degree for Fine Arts in creative writing, at San Diego State University. His first book was Ball Don’t Lie. He got inspired to write by his mother. His famous first book was everywhere. Soon it turned into a great motion picture. He is one author everyone would like. The story, The Living, has four settings that include: a cruise ship, a raft, an island, and a cave. The setting takes place on a cruise ship that had more than a million people on board. Shy opened his eyes, and saw that Bill was lying on the ground, bleeding out. Shoeshine got Shy up and Shy explained everything (even though Shoeshine was hiding in the bushes right next to Bill). Shy owed him his life after that and he asked him “Who are you?” Shoeshine said, “I’m just a guy who shines shoes.” After that exciting event happened, they met up with Carmen and Marcus, and left to the cave. They were hiding from someone , but who? The other scientists that also made the disease. They hid in a cave to figure out a plan. Carmen’s was to take them head on. Marcus’s was to surrender and do what you were told. Shy didn’t have a idea because he was too caught up in another disaster. Addie. What had happened to her? Know one knew.
