Never Feel Scared Of What You Want To Do
By: SHreyas Thirumale
This was the first time I was in Six Flags and going on the King Cobra Ride. The place looked amazing, but the rides looked extremely huge! We started our way to the King Cobra. We were at the starting of the line and it was really crowded. The line also went really slow. I asked my mom how the ride would feel. She said that it would be exciting. I wasn’t sure about that. This ride was humongous! At last, we were at the stairs. I sighed because we had to wait that long.

Shortly thereafter, we were around the starting of the sair but a bit higher and slowly going up. Meanwhile, I looked at the other people faces. It seemed like they were all happy because they had big, excited smiles. All of a sudden, I looked down and screeched my voice. I wondered what would happen if the wooden stairs broke. I would fall all the way down

We were practically at the top of the stairs. Although, there were still some people in front of us. My brother was screeching his happy voice because he was excited. We finally reached and sat on our floating, hollow tube we got from the beginning. Water was flushing out from the sides! I got soaked. We had to take our hands off the rail and we went swirling like a tornado and a spiral. At the end, there was a huge bump and we went down the smooth surface

Finally, we crossed the bump, but at the very end of the ride, we went really high and touched the black rubber path at the very top of the ride. I finally thought that the ride was amazing to go on. My thoughts before were wrong. I felt better than I ever could be. I thought that I was right, but I wasn’t. I learned a lesson I would never forget. “Never believe what your appearances are. Believe after you do it.” This is an unforgettable lesson. After we got of the tube, I had a big smile on my face and I was jumping up and down. I felt like going on the ride

A few years ago, on a class trip, my friends had asked me to ride at least one roller coaster. It was not a large roller coaster, but it made me queasy just looking at it. I was confident that I would be able to go on and enjoy the experience. My confidence quickly evaporated when we began climbing up the roller coaster’s first hill. The ride dropped, and I was screaming so loudly that I could only hear myself.…

As we made it to the backdoor we found an old, rusty ladder, that was used instead of stairs. We were hesitant to walk up the ladder at first, with rungs being in the shape that they were. Well I had gone to Six Flags and when I had got there I was so anxious to get on every ride in Six Flags but then I had heard a person on the Goliath scream ”stop the ride” it was so funny and scary at the same time. Then I saw that almost every ride had so many twists and turns and even circles that go round and round. Last year I had gone on a roller coaster which was the Mind Bender and it wasn’t so scary. The Mind Bender had so many circles that go round and round.…

"THREE, TWO, ONE!" The voice screams as the ride countdown begins, and suddenly we get shot out of the starting point at a whopping 60 miles an hour straight into the dark blacklight lit abyss. This along with the fearful drops of a lightning struck tower, a now empty concrete pad and two stunt shows along with many more make up Hollywood Studios. Another with flying elephants and two runaway mine trains make up the Magic Kingdom. Then the Yeti infested mountains and Dinosaur cities make up the Animal Kingdom.…

I knew something was horribly wrong when I woke up on a lemon shaped inner-tube in a sea of squishy macaroni and cheese. Ever since I was little, the smell, texture, and pretty much everything about macaroni and cheese disgusted me. Cheese was meant to be sprinkled on top of noodles, not engulf them. Looking around at the yellow encrusted rocks and the velveeta cheese waterfalls, I felt like I was living a real life nightmare. Just over the ledge I could see what appeared to be a giant drop off.…

Clearwater Beach The lines at the airport stretched to what looked like the ends of the Earth. People were milling about the security clearance and heading off to their flights. From the balcony area of the DIA, all I could think about was how easy it was for me, a six year old, to get lost among the crowd. I made sure to keep a very close watch on my parents so I didn’t get forgotten as we made our way through baggage and security.…

There was no time for a break, we were off to the next one. By “one”, I mean roller coaster, but this wasn’t just any other roller coaster, this was the Dragster. The record breaking, rapid and towering Dragster which was located at the amusement park Cedar Point, in Ohio. I watched my friends walk briskly in front of me anticipating the next thrill. We were walking with Baylee in front, Abby following her, Tiffany next, Megan after her, and Alyssa dragging behind with me.…
