Screaming, “Oh my, God, I don’t believe it.” Ashley said, rushing over Margaret and Andrew comforted Ashley and Mark while Jerry and Marlene sobbed.
Angrily, Mark asked, “Do they know who did it?”
“No, they don’t, the police said someone smashed her head,” Jerry said. “Mom, Grandma Katherine was a good woman,” Mark said, hugging his mother. “Dad, how could anybody hurt a sweet woman like Grandma Katherine?” Ashley asked. After hugging her grandparents, weeping, she said, “I’m going upstairs.”
“Are you hungry?” Jerry asked.
“We had Pizza for lunch. I’m going to my room,” Mark said and followed his sister upstairs.

After spending another day investigating the murder of Katherine Lincoln with no success, on their way to the station, Detective Wallace suggested they have a drink at a local bar before going home. “Sounds great,” Detective Johnson said, driving into the Red Onion’s parking lot. While sitting in a booth discussing a recent ball game they attended with their friends from the station.
A woman sitting across from them staring in their direction caught their attention. Finishing her drink, she went over to the booth and said, “Excuse me, are you the detectives working on Katherine Lincoln’s murder case?”
