Creative Writing: The Haunted Home

Great Essays
It’s been exactly six days, twelve hours, forty-seven minutes, three-thirty seconds and counting since the last time me and Tre went out together. Or something like that; I haven’t really been keeping up with the time, so maybe I’m off by an hour. Or ten.
Anyway, it’s been almost a week since we went to the haunted house and technically I wouldn’t even consider that a date because we were supposed to meet up with a group of friends. So if I really think about it, it’s more like we haven’t been anywhere in almost two weeks. I wonder if he’s open for today?
“You don’t have any food,” Briana pouted as she stepped out of my kitchen. Somehow I was volunteered to babysit her for the weekend so mom and dad can get some ‘alone time’ whatever that

Also, I like being around brother more than I do you, so where’s he at?”
“You only seen him once!” I squealed, sitting up. “And it’s very hurtful when you talk about me as if you’re ashamed of being related to me.”
“Those are your words, not mine.” I possibly have the worst, most emotionless and harsh little sister in the world. And it’s probably not even close.
“I am highly offended with you right now…”
“Good. Maybe if you actually carried food in this place I would appreciate you a lot more, but I’m assuming that won’t be happening anytime soon,” she fussed. “I wanna go home.”
I do my absolute best to be an excellent older sibling to Briana. I buy her gifts, help her whenever she needs it, even spent most of the money in my savings to help get her room redecorated, yet every time I try getting closer to her she pushes me further away. Maybe she was born to just naturally dislike me.
“I’m sorry for not being the best babysitter and I’m sorry for not being able to give you whatever you want, but I am your sister and sometimes I believe you lose sight of that,” I softly explained to her. “If you really want to go home, I’ll call mom and tell her to come pick you up.”
“I just want to see

“Let me talk to him!”
“I knew this was a trap,” Tre groaned. “I bet Briana doesn’t even remember who I am.” Trust me, brother, she could never forget who you are.
I handed Briana the phone and she lit up like some high school girl who had fallen in love. “Brother? Are you coming over to play with me today? Yeah! What’s Ariana been doing? She’s doing what she usually does. Nothing. She doesn’t even have any food in her fridge. She’s not the most reliable big sister in the world, but what can I do.” Why am I being heavily insulted while I’m right in front of her? “Hand her back the phone?”
She returned my phone and I was immediately hit with a furious, yet surprisingly calm Tre. “I’ll be over there in half an hour.”
He’s actually said yes? I better hurry up and straighten up the place before… “Before you hang up, I also have one more itsy, bitsy, tiny, little favor I would like for you to do?”
“What?”
“Do mind stopping by the pizza place to pick up my order so I can avoid paying the delivery fee?”
“WHAT?! YOUR CHEAP ASS!”
“It is on your way and it would save me some money. And it would make Briana happier to see you as the one who carries the pizza

She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a terrible disease which causes a person 's own immune system to destroy the protective shell around a person 's nerves. I mention all this, because it impacts a person 's personality to the point they become easily aggravated and affects their relationships.…
