“Well, uh.” General Zhousbek, now having reservations about an easy victory over Tresval, changed the subject of their conversation. “That’s not even the worst news, my Lord. Lenaya was here.” Sara stepped through the line of soldiers surrounding the two leaders and joined them. Professor Kinnock’s information was correct, Count Nightburn grudgingly thought to himself.
“Where is Ace?” Nightburn directed his attention to Sara.
“Ace is being treated as we speak.”
“What happened to him?”
“Lenaya is what happened. She injured him quite badly.”
“Have him moved to the Silver Talon’s infirmary. We leave this city within the hour. Have your men grab what supplies they can and head to the ships.” Nothing seemed to be going as planned, and it was evident in Count Nightburn’s mannerisms.
Zhousbek sounded the order and then asked, “My Lord, where will I be going?”
“You will accompany me to the Silver Talon. I want all my best fighters with me, in case of attack. They will not take my flag ship without losing every soldier they have.” At least that

Nightburn drew his own sword to feign off the attacks, but the forcefulness and speed to his barrage of attacks, resulted in his use of two hands on his sword hilt to successfully block the blows instead of the usual one. Continuing to use his one armed assault with such power, the Crimson Knight finally knocked Nightburn’s sword from his hands.
