Around Antonius, frustrated men pounded their empty glasses on the table and cried for more alcohol, while tossing shouts across the room carelessly. Inwardly he cringed, wishing for the hundredth time he had picked a better meeting place, as an empty glass sailed inches away from his head and smashed onto the floor, shattering into thousands of small fragments. Most taverns drew in customers, but The Queen's Glass usually attracted the biggest, most violent, crowd. Especially on Sunday evenings.

You just had to pick that one day out of the week when the tavern was full? Wow. Nice job, smart one... Antonius thought to himself.

"That's what this is about? All this planning, ignored letters, and you come to ask me about Dionysus' treasure? You're pulling my leg!" A roaring laugh escaped Chase and he slammed his hand on the tabletop, nearly knocking off a glass that he had set precariously on the edge. Thankfully, due to the amount of chaos around them, he didn't draw any suspicious eyes.

"Is there something wrong?" Antonius asked, trying to hide the embarrassment he felt from his voice. He hated being laughed at.

Chase's eyes shifted position as his laughter settled down, and Antonius followed his gaze to a girl trying in vain to serve a table full of men, who were most likely drunk. A few seconds passed before Chase returned his attention back to Antonius.

"No." He said gruffly. "There's no problem. I just can't believe that after all these years, naïve men are still searching for fool's gold."

Antonius huffed. They were getting nowhere, and he had to return to the ship by sunrise. A light breeze touched the back of his neck causing Antonius to shiver. He was wasting
