“Hello, Ben!” said Jimmy, still with his strange smile. “Got around, at last, have you? Well, let's go. I don’t know that it makes much a difference now.”And then Ben Price acted rather strangely.“Guess you’re mistaken, Mr.Spencer,” he said. “Don’t believe I recognize you. Your buggy’s waiting for you, ain’t it?”And Ben Price turned and strolled the street. Jimmy stood in awe still trying to fathom what had just happened.”
“Ralph!” Annabel screamed, she had followed him soon after he abruptly left the bank. She ran toward him and Jimmy walked back down the street towards her from talking to Ben and strolled as if nothing had happened. “Ralph…”Annabel blurted as her eyes widened as they looked into Jimmy's.
