“ Is everyone ok? We need to think of something quick, any ideas?!” Shiro yelled over the sounds of Laser guns firing in the background. They were slowly being backed into a cave wall and found themselves cornered with no escape… this was the end.
“It was a pleasure working with you all,” Shiro said softly as his shield gave out. He braced for impact, expecting the end to come, only to instead hear a machine gun like sound erupt from in front of him, followed by a wet splatter which hit the exposed area of his face. Lance collapsed onto the ground, his …show more content…
Alora rushed out and stood in front of Keith, begging him to give her Lance, but when he did not respond it came time for Shiro to pry him away from the blue paladin. Keith squirmed and kicked and screamed, not wanting to let Lance alone, especially right now. Lance was gone, disappeared into the ship… that would be the last they see of Lance for the next 6 months.
Team Voltron lied low for the time being, without the blue paladin they had to wait so that they could form Voltron during their battles. Keith spent every day next to Lance’s pod, and he was often joined by the others. Hunk took it hardest, his childhood friend was gone and he had to wait every day to see if he was ever going to come back. Pidge and Shiro mostly relied on each other for comfort through this time. The only one who never said anything was Keith, he simply waited for the love of his life to return.
Six months had passed since the incident, when one night, at around 4 am, the pod slowly opened, dropping a very confused, dizzy and weak feeling Lance onto the ground. Lance smiled, he was so happy to see Keith waiting for …show more content…
NEVER DO THAT AGAIN” Shiro hugged him, hard, and continued to yell at him through tears and laughter until they were interrupted by hunk’s arrival. Hunk collapsed at the sight of a standing, smiling Lance and he cried almost as hard as he had the night after the incident. Lance strode over to his friend and embraced him in a long-awaited hug. It wasn't long before the other paladins joined in. The heartfelt reunion was cut short by a clueless Coran who wandered into the room and dropped his mug of space juice in surprise. Coran ran over and plowed the paladins out of the way, embracing Lance in a bone crushing hug. The rest of the day was filled with joy and celebration, welcoming home the paladin that was thought to be lost.
As the day came to a close and the paladins wandered back to their rooms, Lance saw a figure slip down the hall towards the Command center. He followed behind, careful to keep his distance, until he walked in on a very peaceful Keith who was seated at the front of the room, gazing out into space.
“Fancy seeing you here,” Lance commented smoothly. Keith jumped at the sound of his voice and turned, his eyes still wet with tears. Lance took a step back, alarmed by the situation before walking over and sinking down till he was seated next to Keith.
