“Mom, why did they do this?” I said, worried, and a little bit afraid.
“Why did who do what, Willow?” Said mother, looking exhausted.
“Something about stamps. Do we have to put those things on everything now?” I asked, knowing that stamps can be a little bit pricey. At least that’s what Will said.
“Oh, sweetie. Don’t worry about it.”
“But Mom, why don’t I get to know what’s going on? Will gets to know.”
“Willow, Will is 19 years old. You’re 10.”
“But Mom, he learned things when he was 10.”
“You don’t even remember when he was 10!” Yelled Mom, starting to get frustrated. So then, I just walked away. It’s still unfair, though. Why is it that Winter and I do not get to know what is going on in this house! Just because she’s 4 and I’m 10 doesn’t mean that we are not part of this family! Whatever, I have things to do. We walk in the cold, windy snow all day long, then huddle together when we go to sleep. The next morning, we are walking, when I see a familiar face. “Will! Will!” I scream with all of my might, running towards him. He picks me up and runs toward Mom and Winter. “I told you I’d see you again girl.” He whispers in Winters ear. “Why are you guys here and not at home?” He asks.
“We can’t stay at home anymore, they wanted to guard our homes, but we left before they could.” Says Mom. He turns, looks around, and then says,”Okay. Where do you want to stay?” Building our new cabin took forever, and Will tried to get me better, but I eventually died of hunger. I know watch over them, and they seem just fine. The house is lovely, and Winter is now 10. She loves having Will home, but is sad that I’m not there. Will constantly is upset that he couldn’t do more to help me, but Mom just reminds him that it wasn’t his fault. They now pay more than ever, but they are together, and that’s what
