Creative Writing: Room 101

Decent Essays
Room 101. Honestly, there are so many things that flash through my mind. Snakes, ants or even the noise that crickets make at night. It’s like everlasting cars passing by on the highway. Then it hit me. It was as if all the cars had stopped. SPIDER WEBS!!!! I should write about spider webs.

You're tramping through the woods, in your room or even in your hallway and you walk into something but you’re not quite sure what it is, you suddenly feel something brushing against your skin. You look around but you can't see anyone near you. You look to see if any bugs are on you but ….. Nothing is . You come to your realisation that it’s a spider web. You start to scream and jump around like your parents had just given you an xbox for your third birthday.

My eyes directed to the old Fisher price playhouse, now having black and brown spots due to dirt and bacteria. Nostalgia feels my nose as when I tried to get in. The red door fell off, reminding me that this is no longer a place of privacy or to hide when I was crying. I sat criss crossed since I am not three feet anymore, and spotted old monopoly cash that was once purple but now a faded white color. I crinkle…

It was often hard to find our way, only being able to use out other senses. I followed blindly but as I would hear someone's footsteps approaching, I would feel their rough fingers at the back of my neck, I would tense up and clench my teeth together. Often, they would take my arm and try to pull me away from the rope and from Sarah, I would scream till they let me go, chuckling as they went. I could feel them all around me, raspy breath breathing on my neck, or touching my arms or hair. I knew they were there but couldn't see the threat, that was the most terrifying…

A hint: it still thrives in the closet.…

Wind bustled through the branches of the trees, making the leaves howl in their symphony. Walking along the gravel path in the woods makes you realize how intricate the clash between weather and nature can be. Two natural forces both in harmony and constantly fighting.
