Katie Wilson, and her mother Dorthy, moved into the Castle’s old house. Katie is attending Raven’s Park High School, her mother meanwhile stays in the empty home everyday working on her clothing website, as a widow. The two of them live alone in a huge house, in the quaint town of Raven's Gully. I am Jason Kirkland, and I live 4 houses down from their house. In our small neighborhood there are a total of 6 houses, including mine.To retrogress verbatimly to the opulent event, I remember hearing someone knock on my door with a warily yet amicable pattern while I was in my kitchen adulterating my spaghetti sauce for dinner. This is where it all started, where the first intimations occurred.

“ALRIGHT MOM, WE GET IT. Can I go visit CJ now?”, gibed Katie hoping she wouldn’t have to reiterate herself. “Yes dear, go right away”, replied Dorthy. “My, my, leaving already????”, gaped Karen and Jason. “Yes, you see, CJ is her boyfriend, and I feel bad that I separated them because of the move, so I'm more pliable with this.”, explained Dorthy. “Well, I should probably be getting home now too, I have lots of work that needs to be done.”, explained Jason. With a grimace, I got in my car and followed Katie and her boyfriend because I knew he would become an adversary, or show some sort of trait of duplicity. As a guise, so I could go take care of him, I called Katie and asked her if she could watch my cat while I “am on a business trip” even though I was actually following CJ her boyfriend. I told her that I would leave the keys under the mat. Little did she know, I have the inside of my house rigged with cameras so I can make sure no one finds out my secret, when I am not there to protect it. I wish I could have fixed my problems without a holocaust, but what had to be done was

By insignificant back alleys and little-trod lanes, Johnny made his way to the ferry slip in North Boston. From there to Charlestown boats were going back and forth. No civilian except only the Boston doctors, who had offered their services, were allowed close to the Wharf. It was well Johnny had thought to not put on Pumpkin’s uniform. Mrs. Bessie had been right about one thing.…

“I would love to stay all day, but I can’t, Jerry will be home today,” she said, patting him on his bottom. “I’m not leaving just yet. Since the room is paid for the day, I’m not leaving yet, I’m going to rest a while before going to the office. You make me tired,” Frank said, getting out of bed to lock the door. While standing by the doorway, kissing Marlene passionately, opening the door slightly, she looked into her mother’s shocked eyes, and got the surprise of her life, “Mother, what in the hell are you doing here?”…

Hello Mr. Bills, I am currently sick and not allowed to attend school until I have received my test results from the doctors due to the fact that I am highly contagious at the moment. Since I am not allowed at school, I gave Kaitlin the outline of "A Stream in the Ravine". Guy and I both worked on it in class and he told me he would turn it in because the bell had rung. When you handed papers back, you gave it to me. I have talked to Guy and he said he turned it in.…

I walked through the dust and dirt to the familiar nondescript building I had come to know and love: Merek South in Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Trumpet case in hand, I pushed open the teal double doors and was met with a wall of sound. I felt the corners of my mouth rise and give birth to an excited grin as I walked past the percussion equipment and other trumpet players to the only open seat, which stood out in sharp contrast against the sea of blue polo shirts and navy blue pants--the required uniform of the camp. I had attended Blue Lake before, but now I was about to embark on their international exchange program, which would bring me to France, Germany, and Holland for five weeks during the Summer. “Are you Patrick from Maryland,” asked a girl in the middle of the section who I later learned was Julia.…

I have found this crumpled piece of paper in one of the inner compartments of my jacket that I wore when the ship sunk thirteen years ago. We were only on the island for a month before two men were flying over in their helicopter and found us. They didn’t know where to find us before that since we were on uncharted land. The island is now a residential area named Seymore, after one of the men from the helicopter. Malai and I are married now (I’ve taken her last name) and have been for a while.…

Kate began unpacking her side of the room. When she was done, she sat on her bed and thought back to eight months ago. Her mom, a CSI agent, had called her brother, Carter, and her to come to the office in California. They had lived in D.C. until Kate and Carter’s father had died, then moved to California. The twins met with their mom and the director.…

Cedarbrook Middle School, 3rd period, the clock had just struck 10:15 am. My eyes were extremely tired and I couldn't get my mind to focus. As I was gazing upon the rain I heard this faint voice in the distance. “Heather”....”Heather”.....…

Schools had off because of Martin Luther King Day, so Emily and Melissa had plans to go to Laura’s house; nothing special, just to hang with some friends, play some ping pong, eat, maybe even watch a movie. As Emily and Melissa were about to venture to Miramar, they first had to say their goodbyes to their parents, as they always did before leaving. Their mom sat on the couch, like always, in her fluffy, pink, penguin pajama-pants and white tank-top. “Bye mom going to Laura’s love you”, Emily enthusiastically and quickly proclaimed, almost as if sarcastically and speaking in a runoff statement. Emily gave a quick kiss on the cheek to both her mother and father and raced out the door to Alivia’s…

I think my middle school writing career overall was not really that big of a deal. I just write because the simple fact that I don’t want to get a bad grade and especially if the assignment was an important factor to my grade and I want to get a decent grade. There's not really much of a story to tell besides, I just wrote because I had no other option but to write. My strengths as a writer are coming up with an interesting or funny story.…

If you were to ask me about my high school writing experience, I would tell you that I did not have much experience. We did not have any classes at my school that were specifically writing classes. At my high school, we just had regular English classes where we would occasionally do a few papers in. My English teacher senior year was a great person, but did not necessarily teach us a lot about proper styles of writing papers. Coming into college English, I did not feel well prepared with what to expect for a college level writing class.…

Wind bustled through the branches of the trees, making the leaves howl in their symphony. Walking along the gravel path in the woods makes you realize how intricate the clash between weather and nature can be. Two natural forces both in harmony and constantly fighting. The rain was going to come down any second; it’s distinct smell was filling the air. Plush, intertwining clouds pushed their grey front towards where I stood.…
