Creative Writing: PTO Meetings

Decent Essays
Hey Luisa !

I am doing fine thanks for asking. I don't have any Fall Dates as of right now. However I may have a PTO meeting in November that they or yourself could attend. It's all really up in the air right now. It's going well. Still lots of changes and logistics of who, what ,where in terms of classroom work itself. But overall its good. Are there any upcoming meetings for NBCFA? I haven't gotten an emails since I signed up at the meeting.

This will be in three more years, when students will range from 8th grade to 12th grade. Currently there are 70 students enrolled in the program, but that number will increase to 175 in the next three years. This doesn’t include the possibility of expanding to other local schools in the near future as well. In order for a new cohort, or 8th grade class, to be added to the program each year, recruitment begins in early March.…

In the morning while local middle schoolers are waiting for the bus a strange lady claps while walking along the sidewalk and scaring local children. On 9/28/15 two anonymous witnesses were waiting for the school bus when they first saw the perpetrator, an unknown lady who was slowly walking and clapping. One eyewitness reported the lady would “sometimes stop and look into trees like she was looking for something she had lost” Both witnesses found the situation “awkward” and “weird.” Mrs. Stillwell, Gahanna bus 23 driver and a bystander, questioned who the lady was and what she was looking for. Minutes later the perpetrator was seen again still whacking her hands together.…

Like the quiet before the storm, there was another nigh-complete silence, a well-needed respite after the deafening gunfire they had been subjected to; then, the thunderous sound started up again, the crack of Daniel Stoll shooting indiscriminately like a madman. The gang members, surging through this unreliable curtain of bullets, did not pursue their entourage, instead slamming the door shut with a tremendous clamor. It was a bizarre, ridiculous decision. Had they wanted to escape the wrath of Mr. Stoll and his equalizer, it was entirely possible to simply not walk towards the doorway! Instead they pressed forward into a place with no cover to merely shut a door.…

Unfortunately, I have had only one session since the last research diary (my client went on vacation). Most of this diary will contain my thoughts moving forward with my research. My research question is how does manipulation of a writing genre impact the level of participation and sense of self in a shared writing activity for a client with dementia? I am focusing on different genres and improving sense of self for my client during shared writing. Since having a memory loss, he often has a negative view of self (i.e., he makes comments during therapy/group).…

Sleeping peacefully in her bed, Laura was cradling a pillow to her chest. The sun was beaming through her blinds causing the woman to stir. Wind bustled through the branches of the trees, making the leaves howl in their symphony. Walking along the gravel path in the woods makes you realize how intricate the clash between weather and nature can be. Two natural forces both in harmony and constantly fighting. The rain was going to come down any second; it’s distinct smell was filling the air. Plush, intertwining clouds pushed their grey front towards where I stood.…
