No one wanted to brave the harsh temperatures that had become this new world, a world tied with frost and decay instead of new growth and the smell of wet earth. The joy of having snow that didn’t become black, toxic mush within hours had faded when it didn’t stop snowing, when soon the whole nation, every nation, was covered with a layer unforgiving ice.
Humans were fools, holding tightly to their belief that science explained all when in reality, there were supernatural forces at play.

The following week the spring rain was harsh and unrelenting, and accompanied still by the cold tendrils of winter, refusing to blow away. April was slow approaching, March still unrelenting and cruel, though rising from the freezing thirties into the chilly but kinder forties; it was still hardly pleasant weather, and with the unpredictability of March in New York City, was just as likely to plunge down the next day. Customer’s moods were equally volatile with the weather; some days people flooded in with platitudes of warmth and others with eyes rung so into their skulls they looked more like empty sockets, with orders curt or to the point and tips measly. Will had come to learn that volatility in times of bad weather was best for business…

When one thinks of two towns, most people generally assume that these towns share practically no differences whatsoever. However, if one can properly analyze two specific towns, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and Bethlehem, New York, their assumptions would quickly be proven wrong because of the varying differences of these towns. Among these differences are the environments of the towns, as well as the effect of technology on the two contrasting communities. It was three a.m. in early March when the wrath of winter decided to trespass and enter global warming’s territory in central Alabama. Life in the city still went on though- honking cars, bustling crowds, and the mouthwatering aroma of cooking food coming from restaurants. A gust of wind threw the snowflakes out of order, but for everything on this planet there is an opposing and stronger force for it.
