Creative Writing: Mckenna Morgan

Decent Essays
I know I have no chance it’s not hard to figure out that she is interested in this boy named Oliver. And I know she thinks I’m weird but unlike Mckenna she doesn’t have a boyfriend and unlike Mckenna Morgan isn’t a big dick 24/7. Morgan is a great friend she listens to what I say she doesn’t always give me feedback but I know she is listening and she cares. I can’t imagine why she wouldn’t trust me enough to go anywhere with me. I have said it several times before and I will say it again Morgan is smart, pretty, and athletic and she has been known to be funny on occasion. Just some of the reasons why I don’t have a chance. Whatever. It doesn’t really matter and honestly I don’t even know why I’m writing this I know she is going to read this.

She obviously has no chance because he is gay, but she does not know this. I think he was an amazing friend to her before he started struggling with his sexuality, but as he keeps struggling he does not treat her very nicely. In the first reading, it states, “When a teenage girl picks up a paperback romance novel and begins to read, she reads about a young heroine, alone in the world and without the strength of family or friends, but with inner strength and spunk and a perfect beauty of which she alone is ignorant. The hero is rugged and handsome, and throughout the course of the story and their developing relationship, changes from an uncaring, even verbally or physically abusive character initially, to a nurturing, caring, and affectionate lover by the story’s end, punctuated in their final reconciliation and declarations of love” (Articulating Meaning, page 239).…

The sniper grabbed the knife from his pocket and cut his brother out of his gear. He then grabbed the whiskey from his pocket, poured it on the wound to cleanse it, and cut off a piece of his sleeve to wrap around the wound in order to stop the bleeding, in denial that he was actually dead. It’s very rare that this particular sniper was ever phased by anything. He stepped back a bit, horrified by the gruesome visual he would never be able to remove from his mind, ingrained in his thoughts, for every day, every hour, every waking moment from dawn ‘til dusk, and into the depth of night for as long as the sniper lived.…
