They say that a soul could die a second time. The type of death that transcended the mere stopping of the heart. It went beyond the moments when every nerve of the brain expired and burnt itself out. To lose grace is to truly perish, to cease and deteriorate completely. That was the real ending, and perhaps it comes easier than it sounds. Yanni wondered if there would ever be a split second that Jinia would miss him when he’s gone.
