“Why do we have to leave this early? It's like… six or something.” The rest of the team was mostly on. The coach started calling names for attendance. This was Sebastian’s first wrestling tournament, Randy’s third. They are both eighth graders. Sebastian has no clue what he is doing.
“What seed are you anyway? I’m 2nd” Randy Asked Excitedly.
“6th. I’m not that good at wrestling anyway.” Sebastian never really cared about sports, he just did it to be with Randy and his other friends. Randy, on the other hand, had been training since he was 6. He knew so many moves in wrestling, and a lot of them were advanced. Sebastian was getting pretty worried, although he could care less, he didn’t want to be the kid that lost his first match.
The bus finally arrived at Wall Middle School. Everybody flooded off the bus, and into the front door. There were two sets of bleachers. Certain schools sat on certain bleachers. So some schools were from similar regions. Randy and Sebastian’s school sat on the right side. It took a while for the tournament to start. Schools had to weigh in, which took long.
“I still can’t believe that I made it in the tournament. I heard these are tough.” Sebastian said.
“All starters make it, it starts getting tough after the first round.” Randy quietly responded, as they were entering the locker room.
“I hope I make weight… I made it last match, so I should be fine.” The weight went lightest to heaviest, so Randy went before Sebastian. Randy stepped on the scale.
“146, you're good.” The coach said to Randy. Randy let out a sigh of relief.
“160, you’re good.” The coach said to Sebastian. There was a two pound “allowance” later in the season, so he made it.
