Creative Writing: Lavinia And Her Home

Lavinia let out a screech that would have put goosebumps on any person that would have heard it. She flipped on the lights, turned toward the man that had cleared his throat, and began to back away from him towards the back door.
“It’s no use trying to run through the back door. I barred it shut from the outside. You really do need to learn to lock the windows of your home, you made it much too easy for me to get inside.”
Lavinia immediately recognized the man standing in her home, even though she hadn’t heard him speak in months, maybe even years. In fact, she was amazed at how articulate and smooth Mose Schrute was able to speak to her. “You, you, you,” she stammered, “What are you doing here?”
“Well isn’t it obvious, you’ve seen the papers,

Wait? Who is this Lavinia,” Officer Kennedy worriedly asked.
“I’m her fiance, clearly she kept this a secret. I don’t know why she would ever do such a thing. She is so happy to be with me, right honey?”
Lavinia sat in the passenger's seat holding back her tears. She knew what Mose said was not true because she was in love with Officer Kennedy. Lavinia was never good with feelings because when she was younger her mother and father went through a very rough divorce and she never wanted to have a relationship like that. She was afraid to tell Officer Kennedy how she felt because she didn’t want to look like a fool if she got rejected.
“Is this true? Why didn’t you tell me Lavinia, I thought we told each other everything,” Officer Kennedy said with sadness in his voice. But, he knew something was going on because Lavinia gave him that look that she was in trouble. Lavinia grabbed the papers to the car and handed then to the officer, but she wrote a letter on it saying,
“Don’t let him see you reading this, take this back to your car and wait a few minutes and go to the Schrute farms. Don’t ask questions, go to the big barn and hide, call for backup he is the Lonely One.

Dwight and Angela were sitting on their porch with baby Phillip. Mose had already made all the arrangements in the morning, so Dwight took them straight to the barn. It was all decorated like an actual wedding would look like. Lavinia was forced to walk down the aisle just like a real wedding also. Dwight would be the priest and the witness for the wedding was Mose’s brother Zeke. Everything was falling in place and the two were about to say their vows, when all the lights shut off. The next thing we know is Dwight is holding a gun to Mose’s head.
“Why Mose why! Why did you have to kill all those women? Lavinia tells me everything Mose. You could have just called and we would have loved for you to come visit us,” said Dwight.
“You don’t understand Dwight. I lose everything when you tells me to move out. I was crushed and I was angry. More at Angela than you. She created a monster in me. There were nights when I needed you, but you weren’t around because of her. She ruined everything! You tells me that if you didn’t marry, I could have the farm, but now stupid Phillip gets it.”
“It still doesn’t give you a right to kill the women, they were unique and one of a kind. You can make someone be something they aren’t,” Lavinia chimed

Straight-backed, uniformed wait staff crisscrossed the floor of City Hall’s ballroom. With silver trays held aloft, they glided effortlessly through the crowd, their blank expressions cleverly masking the tedium of serving champagne and hors d'oeuvres to equally bored guests. Dozens of white-clothed tables adorned with elaborate arrangements of hydrangeas and magnolias gave refuge to the honored attendees who were either too tired or too disinterested to mingle with the men and women gathered in cliques throughout the room. From their position on a small raised platform, a string quartet provided a pleasant auditory backdrop to the chatter of voices, the dulcet tones swelling and falling like a warm summer breeze. It was the party event of the year, and for the mayor’s wife, the soirée was an opportunity to gain the enviable reputation of perfect hostess; for her guests, it was a grandiose display of autocratic superiority.…

It was a very cold and quiet night wind moving across a ground covered in an icy sheen where even the footpath of a mouse could be heard. As I was walking the only thing on my mind was how I will tell Victor that I killed Angela. As I began to walk back home, I saw a young woman she was as beautiful as a freshly grown rose her face was as light as a shining star in the sky and her long brown hair flowing through the wind freely. “Angela” I cried, hoping that the lady didn’t notice me staring “Excuse me sir are you ok.? “she said anxiously.…

Werner was staring at me. His hand was outstretched but his fingers didn’t look right to me; they were bitten and bruised around the cuticles, an inhumane shade of purple. My narrative takes after The Office but also ties in Taming of the Shrew with the theme. I decided to make Angela have Katherine’s part because she seems like she’d make a good shrew. She shares a lot of the same characteristics with Kate, sharp-tongued, mean to everyone, doesn’t care about anyone, and doesn’t care for marrying someone. Andy is going to be Petruchio who tries to win Angela’s love and hand in marriage, kind of what originally happens in the show. Angela is also going to play Bianca’s part, Dwight will be Lucentio, and both him and Andy (Petruchio), will be trying to make Angela theirs.…
