Creative Writing: Juana

Juana was walking down the warm, sandy beach of La Paz on a beautiful Saturday evening. She looked at the ocean as the sun began the set and saw a strange man on a small fishing boat. Puzzled Juana called out to the strange man, “ Sir, it is getting late! The ocean tends to be rough at night!” The strange man looked at her and said, “ I am a professional everything will be fine!” Juana knew how the seas were at night and wanted to warn the man of the danger he is getting himself into. Juana saw that the paste of the boat was slow and she noticed as the waves began to pick up. “ Sir, you have to come to shore the waves are picking up!” called Juana again ,but the strange man simply ignored. Juana, worried that the sea will wipe the strange man away, took off her shoes and stepped into the ocean. …show more content…
“ The waves are picking up; you have to come to shore!” said Juana this time with a stern tone in her voice. This caught the strange man’s attention for he noticed that the waves were picking up as well. “ Ma’am you are going to drown; please turn back before you get hurt!” said the strange man. The waves harshened and Juana began to struggle as she tried to approach the boat. The strange man began to paddle his boat toward Juana, for he knew what would happen if he left her on her own. Struggling, Juana began to yell, “ Help, I am going to drown!” The strange man slowly approaching Juana stuck out his hand, “ Ma’am grab my hand!” With no hesitation Juana grabbed the strange man’s hand. The strange man, with all his might, pulled Juana out of the roaring sea. “ Ma’am, are you okay?” asked the strange man. Juana answered with great relief, “ Yes, I am okay.” By this point the waves were rushing and roaring and the small boat was washed to
