“Ray-Ray! Watch where you are going!” yelled Kalia, the popular, obnoxious girl who despised me with every part of her nonexistent soul. I continued walking, slipping my earbuds into my ears in order to hinder the sound of her constant tremors. The yells behind me intensified and I began to run, apart from my lack of physical endurance or stamina.I was the victim of their constant harassment, and my mind could not help wonder why. Was it jealousy? Envy, perhaps? But the question was what was there to be jealous or envious of? A small frame, long legs accompanied by dark hair being constantly pinned up due to its length. If I escaped, I would leave my brothers behind in the hands of this menace. The man may not be a threat, but was I really willingly to take the risk, something like this had already occurred before. “Please, sit children,¨ he said. The man placed bowls of salads in front of us and commanded us to eat. The salads were poorly prepared, lumps of dirt and scum were visible on the lettuce, and a foul odor also was present. I ignored his constant yells and entered through the 7 Eleven door. The man ran behind us, at full speed, my anxiousness quickly intensifying as he came closer and closer. I entered 7 ELeven, relief rushing through my veins. A rugged hand grew hold of my skirt, fading the feeling as fast as it had come. I had picked the wrong day to wear a skirt.
“HELP! HELP ME! HE IS TRYING TO KIDNAP ME AND DO GOD KNOWS WHAT WITH ME HEEEE LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!”
Immediately, the cashier ran to the man, and made him let go of my skirt. The cashier, Dahlia, took both my siblings and I into the far end of the store and informed the man that if he did not let us come with her she would call the police. He had no other option but to comply. We followed her into the inventory room, filled with soup cans, beef jerky, etc.
“ Now, can someone please tell me what exactly is going on,” said Dahlia in a motherly tone.
“This man told us to get in the car with them under the idea that he was sent by my parents. I believe he kidnapped us,” I stuttered, the stress finally getting to me.
“ Do you want me to call the
