Creative Writing: Into The Wild

Outside Fairbanks, Alaska, Jim Gallien a truck driver who is also an electrician spots a hitchhiker.Jim asked the hitchhiker what his name was and he just responded with Alex. Alex has asked Jim to take him to Denali National Park because he wants to “walk deep into the bush and 'live off the land for a few months.” Jim thought he was crazy, but once they talked for two hours Jim changed they way he thought about Alex. Jim saw that Alex did not have the stuff he needs in order to survive in the wild, so he tried talking some sense into him, but Alex didn't listen. Once they reached the destination Jim gave him his food and a pair of work boots and his number and told him to call and tell him that he made it out alive.
