A long time ago, people never slept. Their brains and mouths kept moving all the time, until Dawn came along. From birth Dawn was a mindset leader. She was also beautiful and kind. The gods were very pleased with Dawn. When Dawn became the leader of the village, the gods were happy. Because the Olympians loved her kindness and humbleness, they were pleased to help her.
One day, Dawn realized that her people were becoming very ill, so she went to Olympus to confront Zeus.
“Lord Zeus, may I make a request for special medicine to cure my people?”
Zeus gladly handed her a glowing mixture, and sure enough, her people were cured. As days went on Dawn found herself in Olympus more and more often. Her requests went from needs to wants. She began to irritate gods other

“She has practically everything she could want!” whined Apollo.
“I too am tired of this madness!” Zeus thundered. As screams filled the room, Athena and Artemis made a plan.
“Zeus! We have an idea!” Athena announced.
The noise went to a sudden halt.
“With these “Twelve Requests”, we shall make 12 hours of complete silence. To do this we shall make half the day of darkness. In this darkness all mortals shall be completely silent and sleep. Their brains and mouths will stop moving.” Explained Athena.
“I shall call over Hypnos to monitor sleeping. He will make them go under a type of trance called sleep. This will teach them a lesson!”Artemis agreed.
“I say we also make her live the rest of her life alone.” protested Aphrodite.
“We’ll let that happen naturally.” explained Zeus.
Dawn had a sudden feeling she hadn’t felt in a while. It was fear. She was called into the room and told about her punishment. Her heart sank lower, and lower, leading her out of Olympus. The anxiety for the next 12 hours scared Dawn. She would have asked for forgiveness, but she deserved it. After informing the town about their punishment, they were furious. Fear fell over the
