My eyes drift around my surroundings and take in the new environment. I realize that I don’t know this place. I’ve never seen this forest before! Panic forces my brain into overdrive and I frantically scramble to my feet. Instinct takes over as I sprint, tearing through the foliage, in no specific direction. I feel the branches of the low bushes claw my legs and the miniscule objects in the air hit my face like frozen rain. I close my eyes in fear as I feel the giant nose push against my leg. A tear runs down my cheek. I don’t dare move when the beast pulls away again. Tears begin streaming down my face and I cry out a small plea. “Please,” escapes my mouth in a whisper barely audible even to my own ears. Years ago, when I was a boy living in the Hopi tribe, everything was peaceful. Our village had not been invaded by white men in over 70 years and all the conflicts between tribes were resolved without bloodshed. Fall had just begun and the end of the year harvest was around the corner. My voice had been regarded as the most beautiful and soothing tune ever heard since the day I had spoken my first words. When I learned to sing my first line of music it was an event that shook my fellow villagers to the core and left them awestruck with wonder.…

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, we're all accustomed to a certain standard, or stereotype that needs to be played. Whether it's being captain of the cheerleading team or the smartest kid in your class, it's one way or another that's there's going to be someone who's supposed to follow by these stereotypes or standards just for the sole fact that that's them.
