It was a bright Monday afternoon when our excursion took place. We took full advantage of our day off. At 3:00 PM we set off for the subway. As freshman, the subway can be quite frightening. Which way is the right way? Do I have enough coins to get a subway token? All these questions filled my mind. As we got on the Market Frankford line we headed to 11th street. Our destination was Philadelphia Magic Gardens. The sight was like no other. Glasses and shiny mirrors lined every

By insignificant back alleys and little-trod lanes, Johnny made his way to the ferry slip in North Boston. From there to Charlestown boats were going back and forth. No civilian except only the Boston doctors, who had offered their services, were allowed close to the Wharf. It was well Johnny had thought to not put on Pumpkin’s uniform. Mrs. Bessie had been right about one thing.…

It gets stupidly hot in Danielsville, Louisiana, especially around summer. This would be fine I guess if we had something to do, to keep our mind off of the heat but there isn’t anything to do. Danielsville, Louisiana has three churches (Pentecostal), twice as many bars, one high school and no books stores or libraries. This means you’re either too drunk to read, or too Christian to read anything good. Big enough to have a mayor’s house, but not big enough to be on any map of any kind, it’s the kind of town where everyone knows your name and basically everything about you.…

Slowly and much to my surprise, things started to get better. By day six, I was an expert on navigating through the city. Each day on my walk back to Penn Station, I would take a new route, marveling at New York City’s array of tourists and commuters. After two months, I'm able to brag that I know exactly how many Starbucks cafes there are between 34th and 43rd streets and that Fifth Avenue hosts the best clothing shops.…

Excitement was running through my body. Although it took forever to get here I wanted to stay there for a while, the lights were amazing as the neon lights of the Las Vegas strip were lit up and very beautiful. Many people walked through the stores, or outside them enjoying the lights. I saw a roller coaster next to a castle, A hotel I suppose, and A giant black pyramid. I’m glad I went on this trip, I was very patient getting here,…

His fingers were trailing up and down her sides over her ribs while the heels of his hands made lazy progress up her spine. Blair was jolted to the soles of her feet when his fingers brushed the sides of her breasts, plumped out against the quilt. She shifted her weight and he got the less-than-subtle message. On October 21, 2015, our class was assigned to do an observation of humanity and all living entities outside our school. The excursion was from American Indian Public Charter School II to Lake Merritt. Along the way, our class noticed that Oakland was bustling with activity. Business (stores) was overflowed with customers, local citizens were jogging, animal- life was consuming the mere crumbs on the concrete, and the Oakland Museum of California was occupied by a diverse group of possible tourists. The perpetual activity that transpired in Oakland inspired a symbol of contentment.…

Steam puffed out of manhole covers that dotted the road. Penn Station came out at an intersection where the air was filled with the melody of car horns, voices and footsteps. Authentic New York style pizza was something I had always wanted to try. Across from Penn Station was this little, uncrowded restaurant that served some very addicting garlic knots.
