DragonMan looked out over the breathtaking Manhattan skyline. One of the eighth wonders of the world. The massive skyline was one of those things that photos and movies could never do justice to. But not so much anymore.

As he began his descent to the asphalt highway directly under him, he watched as the darkness gave birth to the light, and with that, the sun began shining the light of day, the truth, onto a great mystery. The road below him was deserted. There was no sound, just an eerie early morning silence.

Shimmering lights lit up the crowded streets of New York City like the stars of the night sky; they made up for the fact that you couldn’t see the real ones. My feet felt like concrete blocks attached to my legs as I walked, I guess you could call it, through numerous groups of locals and tourists, all I’m sure who could tell easily that I had quite an edge. Its interesting how a place so populated could be so quiet. The fall air blows swiftly across the street against me as I begin walking towards the blue covering that flapped in the wind. It was about 50 yards from my house, and the mill is right next to it. Finally approaching it, I felt as if someone was watching me, the chills, and horror as what appeared to be a blue lab coat or hospital attire, lied bloodstained on the…

Both George and Lennie were, in the back of the restaurant, working. George was cleaning dishes, while Lennie was trying his best to mop.…
