“What did Ryan do now?” asked Pam, his mother, as she was in a meeting with Mrs. Principal. Mrs. Principal replied, “Well, Ryan is starting to act like his friend Mike, and I don’t believe Mike is the greatest influence on him due to the circumstances.” “What circumstances?” “Oh, haven’t you heard? Mike’s parents are getting divorced, and he isn’t taking it very well,” Mrs. Principal replied. “No, what happened? Why are Becky and John getting a divorce?” Before Mrs. Principal lowered her voice, leaned forward, and told Pam what was wrong she felt an overwhelming sense of guilt bubbling up around her. “Well, Becky wants a divorce and no one knows why. Not even John. Whenever you ask Becky why they’re filing for divorce, she never replies with the same thing.” “Wow, John and Becky always seemed so happy, especially since …show more content…
Principal. I’m not mad at Ryan for doing this, I’m just disappointed. He's lost some of my trust.” While Pam was on her way home, she needed to stop at the store and grab some things. So when she got home, Ryan was sitting at the island in the kitchen eating as always, with his sister in the living room. When his mom walked through the door, there was an eerie silence that gave everyone the creeps. Once Pam was done putting everything away, Ryan came to her to tell her exactly what happened. Ryan said, “Hey mom, I have something to tell you.” “Ok, what’s up?” “Well, you aren't going to like what I’m about to say, but I tested positive for a school drug test.” “I know.”
“How do you know?” “I know because I just got out of a meeting with your principal. I am very surprised that you told me though yourself.” Before Pam told her son anymore, she was trying to hold back the tears as her throat was burning. “ And so you know I am not mad at you but I am disappointed.”
“I wasn’t trying to disappoint you or have you lose my trust with smoking, but I thought just trying it once wasn’t going to get me into this much
