Not only that, they were disrespectful to elders. Several times in the book, the boys disrespected Billy's grandpa. Rubin spit tobacco juice on his floor, and growled at grandpa.…

All she could think of with each passing lick to her brothers head was how that leopard was getting a good taste before sinking its teeth into him. She was nervous, not only did the vampires pose a threat to the twins but these oversized hairballs did as well. How could she be so stupid as to allow this?! Her silly brother had the best of intentions and apparently, he was very persuasive when he convinced her to free the animals or else she wouldn't be standing here now. Ducking inconspicuously into the shadows, Ryder leaned on a rusty lamppost and pulled a copy of the local paper from under his arm. As he watched the ink rub off onto his fingers, the absurdity of his situation was not lost on him. In an age of computers, electronic tablets and smart phones, who in the world still read newspapers? Besides dumb ass bikers like himself intent on appearing casual while they stalked other people, he couldn’t imagine. There was something about reading the local gawker that magically made a person go unnoticed in public.…

There was elderly couple at one of the booths quietly eating their food, two younger men at the bar chatting about their plans for the night; and one man sitting near the window and reading the local tabloids. Both George and Lennie were, in the back of the restaurant, working. George was cleaning dishes, while Lennie was trying his best to mop.…

Wind bustled through the branches of the trees, making the leaves howl in their symphony. Walking along the gravel path in the woods makes you realize how intricate the clash between weather and nature can be. Two natural forces both in harmony and constantly fighting.
