My dog Lou feels like my phone vibrating he's shaking so much he must feel really scared and overwhelmed by the people surrounding him. The vet said he is going to be ok. I feel bad for him. To Bring the Horse Home Julie Bruck after Philip Larkin Is all I’ve wanted past wanting since I was six and delirious with fever, an infinitive forged from a night when giant ladybugs with toothpick antennae patrolled my wicker nightstand. Yes, I’ve been with horses since, travelled illegally with them in trailers, known certain landscapes only framed by alert ears, and with one in particular, spent whole afternoons with her big jaw heavy on my shoulder. Still, I hatched plots to bring a horse to the house, to ride to school, to pasture one or even three in the garden, shaded by that decorative willow, which could have used a purpose.…

Senator Harlan ‘Raging Bull’ Long’s office was decorated with the usual ostentatious displays of patriotism. American flags, bronze plaques of past victories, and multitudes of framed newspaper clippings adorned the otherwise sterile marble walls. The room’s vulgar displays of political conquests had the subtlety of a bordello, but, paled to in contrast to its occupant. “Dammit Gina, where in the Hell is my call from Tony?” ‘Harley’s’ voice boomed from inside his chamber.…

A Dog's Purpose is an amazing book written by Bruce Cameron. In this book there is a lot of different places the dogs take you. It seems like the dog is outside the most. There are many different characters in the book and they are not all main ones, every few chapters things change. There is not much conflict in the book because of how it is written.…

The female padded quickly across the frost bitten plains, her paws occasionally skidding across small pools of ice. Her black fur clashed harshly with the brown and tan of the surrounding blades of long, springing grass. Slowing her pace, she rounded a nearby bend that led between two collapsed stones with the scent of old prey. Dropping her head, she sniffed about the area. A quick climb here, a twist there and she had managed to follow the trail.…

The movie “Wag the Dog” is an outrageous film about a fictitious Presidential Campaign, whose media staff creates a fake war with Albania, in order to get their candidate reelected as President. In their effort to create this war, the media team for the President has to break every single rule in the PRSA Code of Ethics. Although their strategies and tactics may not be the most preferable, some techniques used throughout the film can correlate with the outside world, and even the election cycle we are going through today. Throughout “Wag the Dog” the media team led by Conrad (Robert Deniro), formulated a media plan that broke every single aspect of the PRSA Code of Ethics.…

It is Tuesday night and as I write this letter I am thinking back to the Thanksgiving popcorn incident. Every year just before the holidays I spend time gathering recipes and treat ideas from friends, pinterest, and cooking magazines. I try to have treats I think you girls will enjoy, HOWEVER, I did not include Lulu on that list. In the short story “The last dog” by Katherine Patterson, a young boy named Brock chooses to leave the dome. While out there, he finds a dog and brings it back to the dome. The lesson that I learned from this story is to follow your own instincts. I liked this book because the main character is interesting, and is an adventurist. The plot is a bit weird, but overall it was a good story.…
