Act 1 Rodger - Ian, don’t say that. All this time I thought you were a great officer and partner. I even let you know what to bring for the police Christmas party.

Ian - Rodger, You’re not listening man! I don’t hate you, I hate him.

Rodger - Who do you hate?

Ian - Omar! Omar got advised by three of the top police chiefs to choose me as the next detective. And I know I’d be a great detective. But apparently not to Omar. Instead of a guy who has been out on the field, he chooses a guy straight out of the academy. It’s this guy named Mitchell Chase. He has a pretty wife but he can’t even stop her from going out and partying. And he’s never even been on a live crime scene. He has the same amount of hands-on experience as a kid.

Rodger - Wow

Rodger - If you don’t like it quit.

Ian- Eh. I’d rather stab Omar in the back. Seems easier to be honest. Hey, let’s go talk to Bruce. He’s the captain so let’s trick him into getting mad at Omar.

Rodger - How are we gonna do that?

Ian - Well I heard something about his daughter and Omar together. So we’ll see.

(They both walk to Bruce’s house)

Rodger - Hey Bruce! Wake up! Your daughter is dating your head detective. This is Rodger, your daughter is in trouble.

Bruce - What are you talking about? My dad is single. My head detective?

Ian - Yes! Your daughter is dating that terrible detective… the one you could say is darker than us.

Bruce - You liar! My daughter is innocent. She would never lie to me.

Rodger - If you don’t believe me, check if your daughter is in her room? If she is, then you can sue me for lying.

Bruce - Maids! Turn on the light! Search everywhere for my daughter.

Ian - Well sir, I must leave. My plan would be ruined if I was seen here.

Bruce - It’s true! She is gone. My life is now ruined! Rodger, where is she? How did you know it was here? Please tell me!

Rodger - I had a trustworthy source. I can find her. Call a group of officers and follow

In policing just as in any other organization there are people who do it for the right reasons, and those who don’t. It is my personal opinion that ninety-nine percent of people that become police officers do it for the right reasons, and truly want to help the community. Although the majority of police officers are good willed, and want to help the community there are still what is known by many as the “bad apples”. A police officer can become a “bad apple” in many ways, either by temptations to steal money from a drug dealer that he or she just busted or by what is known as Nobel cause corruption.…
