Creative Writing: Behind The Bar

Great Essays
Run, run, pound! I pounce on the empty springboard, gripping my fingers around the wooden bar. I twist my rock hard hands against the bar, ripping some of my blisters, and making some more. I flick my feet up, and push my legs to the top of the bar.

I think to myself, " Don't tilt your head back! " , But it happens anyway. my toes eventually give up, and my legs slip down, down, down, ruining the entire kip. I give up and do a boring pull up pullover.

I cast up so high, but not high enough. I lift my legs up onto the bar, they are bent, and look like a gorilla's legs. I think to myself, I ruined my kip and my dismount. I jump off the bar and my coach, Darcy, yells at me,
" You look like a frog with those legs!" I feel a tug on my leotard, as Darcy pulls me off the bar.
" You do it like this." she says. She jumps up onto the bar and casts up as high as she can, the bar squeaks like nails on a chalk

My coach not far behind them.
"What happened?!" Darcy screams. "I landed on the concrete and sprained my ankle." I say through my tears.
"Let's get you some ice." I hear Darcy say. I wobble to my feet shaking like a leaf. I use Darcy's shoulder to walk to the office. "CREEK!" goes the office door. I wobble into the room. Wobble, wobble, wobble. Darcy lifts me up into a high, black, twirly chair. She opens the freezer door and takes out the smallest ice pack I have ever seen. It was the size of a small sized gummy pack.
"This will do." Darcy says. She places the ice pack on my big red swollen foot.
"We can put some pre wrap and tape around your ankle, hopefully that will make it feel a little bit better." I open the office door. "CREEEK!" I wobble to the team corner on the other side of the gym. I open my gym bag and take out the pink foam prewrap. I wrap it around my ankle, then I take out the tape and wrap it around my ankle supporting the prewrap.
"Everyone go to vault. Michelle you stay on
