Bea the Lalaloopsy

The orange coiled plastic-haired, whimsical and floppy legged, blue button-eyed schoolgirl - Bea Spells-A-Lot - was one of my closest friends. As I saw the colourful and heard the high-pitched commercial on the TV, I practically dragged my mom into the nearest Walmart so I could go claim my new friend. As my buddy and I got home, we spent hours playing Doctor, computer games and even watched television together like two peas in a pod. Her birthday (October 16th) was an extravagant celebration for years on end. Everywhere I would go, whether it be the doctor’s, school or even church, Bea would tag along. Almost five years later, the receptionist at the doctor’s still calls me “Lalaloopsy”. Even though she couldn’t
