Her heart won the argument as she felt her wings appear on her back. She flew towards the two males and landed next to the trees. Everyone stopped fighting and stared at her. Their muzzles gaped open in shock. She could hear whispers and gasps surrounding her. Many glared at her. She was the were-angel that isn't supposed to be alive. Her brother shifted back into his human form. His face grim as he looked towards his sister. He felt betrayed. 'How could there be a were-angel in the family?', he thought to himself. The golden eyed wolf looked at the Lupus Deus pack menacingly, especially Aria, before shifting into his human form. There stood Alpha Eros, the most ruthless alpha on the island. Failure. Useless. Disgrace. Mistake.' These words kept playing in her head like a broken record. Aria felt a sense of determination. She wanted to prove to those who belittled her that she is fearless and strong. That she is worth every minute of their time. Aria lifted her head up. Her eyes narrowed in determination. She gathered all the strength in her and her inner were-angel, and in one swift motion she yanked. Once. Twice. Again and again. Everytime she failed in pulling off the chain, she tried again. Her determination never once faded away. Soon the chain fell off the wall. The sudden force made Aria fall onto the ground with the chains with a loud thump. She stayed on the ground for awhile regaining her strength. Her hand moved to pull out the bobby pin holding her hair together. She unlocked the cuffs with the pin. The silver cuffs fell to the ground. They left behind a faint red …show more content…
The door slammed open. Aria hid in the corner hoping it's not a council member. Aria could see a pair of boots from the corner for her eye. "Where is she?!", he yelled.
"I d-don't kn-know", came the response.
"How could she escape? You were meant to be guarding her.", the man in boots continued to yell at the trembling guard, "Well? What are you still doing here? Notify the others of her disappearance."
Aria quickly scurried away in fear of being caught. A flash caught her eyes as she runs down the hidden tunnel. She stopped in fear. Her body tensing. The flash came again. Suddenly, a torch light was shining straight at her. The brightness blinded her momentarily. Aria unexpectedly felt herself being ingulfed in a hug. "I'm so glad you are ok", a familar voice mumbled against her. Aria looked up. A pair of gold eyes stared back at her. Aria gasped. She quickly pushed herself away from him.
"What are you doing here? Are you here to kill me too?", Aria said. His eyes dimmed.
"Please. I didn't mean to. I would never intentionally hurt you. Please forgive me.", Eros pleaded. His voice filled with hurt and sincerity.
"Forgiveness needs to be earned.", Aria said, before stalking off towards the
