Creative Writing: Am I Really Stupid?

I cannot believe that i let this happen, i am really stupid. They were right behind me, right there! I was running as fast as i could and they were still gaining on me. I hate guards, I mean why do they have to be so well trained and perfect. I guess i know why they're so well trained they have to protect whatever it is they were told to. In my case it was the crown jewels of Berlin. The whole thing happened so fast that it still plays in my mind.

Okay, come on, Emily you can do this, that's right you can do this. Just do what Mr. Jenkins said. I slipped the thin metal wire into the red wires compartment, next i slipped the red wire out disconnecting the alarm system. whew, that was easier than i though. I slipped up the front door making sure to keep my face hidden from the cameras. I pulled two bobby pins out of my hair. Thank god i've been picking locks since i was ten or else this could take forever. I stuck one end of the bobby pin in the keyhole and one end of the other. I pushed down the metal clasps and turned the knob. Booya! That was awesome, I've never broken into a palace before!

If i go to the basement i can change the access code and come up to get in the vault. Or i could knock out the guards and blow the circuit on the door. I decided to go with the safer one and took the stairs to the basement. at the bottom i followed the thin path to the control box. When i get to the box i change the code.
